Nevada Enhanced Hazard Mitigation Plan
The
hazard mitigation programs purpose to reduce the loss of life and property due
to natural disasters and to enable mitigation measures to be implemented during
the immediate recovery from a disaster.
This State Enhanced
Hazard Mitigation Plan is the official statement of Nevada’s statewide hazard
mitigation goals, strategies, and priorities. Hazard mitigation can be defined
as any action taken to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to life and property
from natural and human-caused disasters.
