The Nevada Division of Emergency
Management (NDEM) leads,
participates in, or supports commissions, committees, and boards as required by
Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 414 and 239c.
NDEM is
dedicated to protecting the State of Nevada, its residents, and its visitors by
coordinating responses to disasters and emergencies.
Several committees and advisory bodies
have been established under Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) and Executive Orders
to support this mission. These committees provide critical oversight,
recommendations, and collaboration to enhance Nevada’s homeland security,
emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
They are responsible for
advising on policy, allocating resources, coordinating incident responses, and
strengthening Nevada’s resilience against diverse threats and hazards. This report outlines the governance structures,
authority, and key responsibilities of each mandated committee operating under
the purview of the division.
