Nevada's Situation Report (SITREP) is
disseminated on a weekly basis unless an emergency or other event requires a
more frequent distribution of information. The SITREP is designed to inform the
recipients of significant events within the state, emergency management resources, national alerts, FEMA Community
Lifelines*, and a calendar of
training opportunities available in the state.
*The
new FEMA Community Lifelines were introduced in the 4th edition of
the National Response Framework. FEMA defines a lifeline as something that
“provides indispensable service that enables the continuous operation of
critical business and government functions, and is critical to human health and
safety, or economic security.”
